Advent: Week 4 – Being a Part of the Salvation Story: A Sermon

Advent Week 4 is here…

I get one more opportunity to spend time with this church before Christmas and the New Year.

(FYI – Siri’s input was unexpected, but still hysterical)

What’s even better than that? Hillside Church has a regular pastor coming to serve them in January, and that is the best present a church can be given.

This past Sunday I preached from Matthew 1:18-25. It was probably not a typical advent sermon. I talked about how God in his kindness and grace often includes us in the salvation process. It’s true of Mary and Joseph, and it’s true of the Old Testament saints, and it’s true of us now. If you do take the time to listen, I pray it is an encouragement to you.

Once again, if you are in NJ, it’s a great church to make your home. It’s very much a family orientated, relationship driven place to worship. There are plenty of ways to connect spiritually to God and his word and personally with others.
